Au Jus

Prep Time: 5 Minutes Cook Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • Beef Drippings, stock, gravy mix, or boullion
  • Corn Starch
  • Water
  • Chopped Chives (If Desired)

Instructions:

  1. Mix Gravy mix or bouillon if using
  2. Put desired base in a pot and turn stove to medium/medium high.
  3. Bring to a boil and boil until desired flavor is achieved
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with cold water to make a slurry. mix even volumes of water and cornstarch. start with 1 tbsp cornstarch and 1 tbsp of water.
  5. While the base is still boiling, add the slurry, stir, and reduce heat slightly. The sauce should begin to thicken.
  6. Serve over Steaks, roasts, and Potatoes
